This generous donation was made possible by the TRCS teachers and staff who participated in the "Jeans Days" fundraiser. The TRP board would like to thank everyone for their support and generosity. As you see in the photos, the evening was all it promised to be - good food and good company. The Three Rivers Promise's team of volunteers fed 416 Adults, 3 children older than 5, and 5 under 5. Thank you to everyone who came and made our first public event so successful. We will do it again next year!

During this summer’s Reunions 2021, the Three Rivers High School Class of 1964 is having a birthday party on July 31 as they celebrate their 75th birthdays. And as part of the celebration, four members of the class issued a challenge to their classmates to raise funds for the Three Rivers Promise. Their initial $300 (4 times $75) has been met and almost tripled; ten classmates have donated $1625. Richard "Dick" Rollins, Ph.D., Three Rivers High School Class of 1964 was an historian, scholar, and friend to many. Dick completed his undergraduate in American History at Michigan State University. He went on to complete his Ph.D. in American History. He authored and co-authored many books, most on the American Civil War. His most famous work became the definitive study of the life of Noah Webster, the American lexicographer. Dick's work challenged the existing understanding of Webster and altered historians' view by exploring the conflict of Webster's idealism and the burden of religion in society, academics and the state. Update on the Class of ’64 Challenge for donations to the Three Rivers Promise

The response to the Challenge has been rapid and generous. As of today, July 12, seven members of the Class of ’64 have given $700! With the $300 from the four challengers, the total donated is $1,000! We on the Promise team are very grateful. And we humbly say, don’t stop now Class of ’64!
