Kadant Johnson Announces $50,000 Pledge to Three Rivers Promise In Addition to Funding Match Challenges
The Three Rivers Promise received a huge boost to its fundraising efforts this week when Kadant Johnson pledged $50,000 to the scholarship program. In addition, Kadant Johnson will match all corporate donations up to an additional $50,000. The locally-based company will go a step further, inviting all its employees to donate to the Promise with the guarantee of a matching donation from Kadant Johnson.
“We are fortunate to have this opportunity to support the youth and families in our community with this program,” said Wes Martz, president of Kadant Johnson. “Investing in the Three Rivers Promise will help build resiliency into our community and offers the potential to change the life trajectory for generations of students to come. We are proud to be a supporter of this important initiative.”
Kadant Johnson, a division of Kadant Inc. (NYSE: KAI), was founded in 1930 in Three Rivers and is a leading provider of rotary joints, precision unions, and fluid handling systems and equipment used to optimize the transfer of power, fluid, and data in rotary sealing applications found in process industries.
Tom Lowry, Three Rivers Promise Board President, expressed gratitude towards Kadant for their generosity and the potential this offer has to help reach the Promise’s fundraising goal.

The Three Rivers Promise will not only help future TR High School graduates to pursue post-secondary education, it will change our community for the better.”
The Three Rivers Promise aims to provide financial assistance for college or vocational education to Three Rivers High School graduates. The Promise is funded by contributions from individuals and businesses interested in supporting the quality of life in Three Rivers by increasing the number of residents with post-secondary skills.
